So Much Fall Fun!!

We have been keeping ourselves very busy these last few weeks. I just love the fall weather and all the fun things to do during this time of year. We have been doing a lot of different crafts around the house, as well as fun outdoor activities and playing with friends. Here are several pictures of some of the things Elizabeth has been doing lately!

We went to this place called JUMP with all kinds of different jump houses indoors with a play group one day. Elizabeth loves this place!!

Aunt Cara came to visit one weekend and we had so much fun! Elizabeth is getting much better at sharing her colors with everyone, mainly because she likes you to color with her :)

Now Elizabeth has decided to just paint a t-shirt for Daddy...she was tired of getting her hands all messy :)

This week Elizabeth was so lucky to have her friend Sydney come over and play for the day! The girls had SO much fun playing outside in the beautiful weather.

Gotta love the footed pajamas!!!

Elizabeth has been having so much fun playing outside since the weather has cooled off lately!! She likes to eat popsicles outside, and play with Dakota. She really likes to play with her baby doll, and has gotten so good at playing pretend. Elizabeth doesn't forget a thing, and she knows exactly where everything is hidden. She will go into the pantry and ask for the paint and then run outside and wait for me to bring the easel and paint. One of her interests right now is working puzzles, and she has gotten SO good at them. When my mom was here we got her a new 24 piece puzzle to play with, and she mastered it after one try. I am truly amazed at how well she can match all the pieces and figure out where they go...she is a very determined little girl!

Along with cooler weather comes the footed pajamas!!!! YAY! I just love the footed pajamas! Elizabeth was not too sure about them because she has been so used to shorts and t-shirts, but she slept so well and loves to play in them in the morning.

Awesome Autumn!

My mom came to visit us this week, and we have been doing so many fun things! We have been doing a lot of shopping, dining out and playing at home with Elizabeth. We took Elizabeth to the Boone Hall Plantation Pumpkin Patch on Thursday morning. It was still wet from the rain the previous weekend, but we had a lot of fun! Elizabeth was not too excited about the pumpkins at first, but all it took was a fun hayride to get her in the spirit!

This has been a busy week for me especially, so I am very grateful for my mothers visit and all the fun times! On Saturday, October 18th, I ran in the Lowcountry 5K Race for the Cure in Daniel Island. As luck would have it, it was pouring down rain most of the morning and it was debatable whether my friends and I should stay and run. We decided that we had made the effort to come out in the rain, and that we should go ahead and run. The rain let up right after the race started, but we were already drenched. I was just so thankful to have participated and finish the race with my friends.  Again, I am very proud to have done the race and participate in such an amazing cause!!!

Thomas the Train

This past weekend Elizabeth and I went to Spencer, North Carolina with some good friends to see Thomas the Train. It was about a 3 1/2 hour drive, and we arrived about 12:30pm. We spent the day at the festival and our boarding time for the train was 5:30pm. We had a very full day! There were tons of things to do and see, and we did most of them :) We went into some of the museums that were there filled with old cars, airplanes, wagons and of course trains. We visited the RoundHouse and even got on the spinning tracks. Elizabeth had fun playing with her friends Noah, Katelyn, William and Clara. We took a much needed break before we boarded the train for some ice cream. After we got onto the train, we took about a 20 minute ride and Elizabeth even got a chance to talk to the conductor. All in all it was a very fun filled day!!

Going on week 6...

Well, we are 5 weeks down and really missing Nathan! But, he has finally given in to the video chat! I think we were both worried how Elizabeth would react to the situation, but it ended up being great! And, now I look forward to it all the time! It was so fun to have Elizabeth see him and interact with him! It was a huge success, and we have already done it several times this week! YAY!

Elizabeth LOVES popsicles! Her friend Samantha came over to play one day and Elizabeth continued to ask her is she wanted to have a popsicle until she got one...she is very determined!

On Saturday, September 27th, Elizabeth and I joined a large group of our friends for the Children's Charity Fun Walk. We were there in support of Spinal Muscular Atrophy for our friends Aaron and Traci High, and their precious little boy Max! It was such a great feeling to see all those people out there in support of children!!!

We went to the beach on Tuesday morning with some friends because we were assuming it would be our last chance for the summer. It is supposed to get cooler here in Charleston soon, or atleast I hope!!
