Carley Faith Phillips is here!!!

We are so thrilled to announce the arrival of Carley Faith Phillips on September 23, 2009, 1:31 p.m., 6 lbs 6 oz., 19 inches long! She is so tiny and perfect!!!

Big Sister Elizabeth is overwhelmed with joy to have her sister finally here, and is very concerned when Carley cries...it is so cute!!!!

We are all doing great!!

Eagle Feather

We went to our Squadron formal banquet this past weekend called the Eagle Feather. It was a lot of fun to hang out with all our friends together in one place!!!

We took Elizabeth with Nathan to get his hair cut in hopes that she would let them trim the ends a little. And, to our surprise she was very cooperative. She won't let me touch her hair with a brush most of the time much less scissors, so this was a success!! They just trimmed the back a little to even it out, but it was her first hair cut!

We went to a Kenny Chesney concert last weekend, Sept. 12, with some good friends, Josh and Christina Watkins! We had great tickets thanks to my sister and a good friend, THANKS!

A little bit of everything!

I will miss the summer, but am very excited about the fall!! We have definitely had a very busy couple of weeks! Nathan got back last Monday from a 10 day trip and Elizabeth got really sick that night and missed her first day of Child's Day Out on Tuesday :( But, she was better by Thursday, and was VERY excited to go to "school"!! Elizabeth has shown a great interest in two activities this year, soccer and ballet/dance! Yes, I know...two very different activities, but she is SO excited about both!

I am at 36 weeks now, and feel really good. We went to our 36 week checkup on Tuesday, and were VERY pleasantly surprised to hear that the baby cooperated and turned around for us! I can't even really explain our expressions or emotions when we heard the news. I even asked them again to double check because we were fully prepared with a list of questions about our options because we thought she was still breech. But, with answered prayers she apparently turned around one night and shows to be getting comfortable in her new position!!!! Thanks for all the prayers!!!!

Here is a picture of Elizabeth and her new soccer gear! She immediately wanted to go outside and practice after we got the soccer ball, shin guards, and new shoes!

I went to Drayton Hall Plantation with a good friend of mine one day. We wanted to take our girls to play on the grounds, and snap a few cute pictures! Here is Elizabeth near the Ashley River on the plantation.

Elizabeth was excited about dancing around in her tutu, and was definitely hamming it up for the camera!

Another new activity this year is her ballet/tap dance class at Summerville Dance Company!! She was SO excited about her ballet and tap shoes :) Wednesday night was her first night, and they are very serious about the class. They do not allow photos or even parents to come with the children to watch. So, I drop her off at 6 and they bring her outside at 7 when class is over. I can only rely on what she tells me about the class, and I am feeling confident that she enjoys it because as soon as she came out in her tap shoes she said "Mommy, that was fun!"
